On Sunday, December 03, 2006, at 6:30 PM, Jardines Jazz Club will host a CD release party for Time To Go;The Music of Russ Long, the latest release from pianist and composer, Russ Long
Russ Long, a Kansas City native, has recorded a CD of his original compositions. Written ofer a period that spans five decades, this CD should establish him as a premier jazz composer and Kansas City Jazz icon.
Included on this CD is a solo guitar contributed by Pat Metheny of Russ' tune, Never Was Love. Pat, a longtime fan of Russ, who played with Russ while growing up in Kansas City, also contributed to the liner notes.
